Did you know that the human microbiome plays an important role in maintaining our health?
When the balance between microorganisms and the human body is disrupted, a condition known as dysbiosis, it can contribute to the development of different diseases.
To address this, strategies such as prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics are being explored, along with the development of therapeutic compounds designed to mimic microbiome–host interactions.
At MolDrug, we also contribute to this field through projects like COMPPI (DIN2024-013557), funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 (AEI), which studies the interaction between gut microbiota proteins and the human immune system.
