ECONSTRUCT – Design of antimicrobial coatings for enhacing constructions

Title: Sustainable and disruptive solutions for the formulation of additives, coatings, and sustainable materials with high antimicrobial efficiency, with applications in construction and infrastructure (INNCAD/2025/10)

The ECONSTRUCT project arises from the need to protect people against infectious agents and the deterioration of buildings and housing caused by catastrophic events such as the DANA in October 2024 in Valencia or health crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through QSAR modeling, MolDrug will identify potential antimicrobial molecules against the pathogens present in the areas affected by the DANA in the province of Valencia.

In this project, a sol–gel coating for microcements will be developed, combined with innovative solutions with antimicrobial capacity through the collaboration between TOPCIMENT and MolDrug.
